Best Trinidad Neighborhoods?
Most homes in the Trinidad community were custom built by folks who wanted to live in beauty and serenity. Over the years, homes grew in size. The wide range of square feet and lot acreage gives homebuyers a great choice.
All Trinidad neighborhoods are the best!
What’s most important to you? Sunshine and hushed solitude in the forest or the active ocean? Low maintence small gardens, huge green meadows for children to run free, or hiking your own trail down to your private spring that provides all the water you want? All three settings on one parcel? That’s possible.
Sue-meg State Park
The area north of Patrick’s Point to Agate Beach and beyond has a few residential homes scattered in the seaside forest and off the highways in the hills. Recreation including kayaking, surfing, and fishing is nearby. Big Lagoon also is a favorite day-use destination. These gorgeous properties rarely come on the market. Remain positive and know that your right home will be available.
Patrick’s Point
Imagine walking out your front door and being on vacation. More affordable than in town, Patrick’s Point prices present an opportunity for investors and home buyers looking for a bargain. Seclusion, the ocean, the emerald forest, and giant ferns all in one peaceful setting. It’s a gorgeous short drive to town!
College Cove Beach
Named one of the Top Five Most Beautiful Beaches, Trinidad’s College Cove Beach neighborhood surrounds a marvelous landscape calling out to beach lovers. The parking area promises glorious terrain. The path down to the sheltered sunny beach gives hikers a workout. The sand stays warm out of the wind because the mountain wraps around the beach on the sides of the bay making a sheltered sunbathers’ delight. Bathing suit optional.
Trinidad
From Patrick’s Point to Trinidad, estates, houses, farms, cottages, and cabins share a sparsely populated Pacific coast, redwood forest, ferns, creeks, and towering redwood trees. If you’re lucky enough to find one for sale, buy it!
The area surrounding “downtown” Trinidad appeals to walkers who like visiting the local market, post office, and an active library. With FIVE local healthy gourmet food and Murphy’s Market Deli, it’s perfect for writers, authors, entrepreneurs, and folks who love happy people.
Westhaven
In the forest side of Trinidad you enter a different typr of neighborhood. Westhaven provides quiet and peace. Neighbors are friendly but not overbearing. Folks who love privacy and no noise or light pollution choose Westhaven or the hills and mountains in the sunlight. This is the best place I have ever lived and I am planted here like a redwood tree with deep roots and a long life.
Moonstone Beach & Moonstone Heights
The first freeway offramp north of McKinleyville and Little River State Park is the Weshaven Exit. To your left is Moonstone Beach on Scenic Rd and to the right is Moonstone Heights in the forest hills on Westhaven Road. Both roads take you through natural beauty and peaceful living. Here you will find a mixture of beach cottages, forest cabins, and large estates. These properties don’t often come up for sale. Let me know whats your heart’s desire and I will let you know when that perfect home becomes available.
<<— My Pets!
Deer visit out my bedroom window. They’re used to me looking at them and don’t run away unless get too close. I love watching the fawn run and bounce! They bring me joy.
My home is about a mile from the ocean at 800′ in elevation. We get more sunshine and I prefer total quiet versus the ocean waves. I do hear the ocean sometimes hiking my trail. Moonstone Beach and the town of Trinidad are a 3 to 5 minute drive though the redwoods.
My parents brought me to Humbolt County as a newborn baby. I feel deep roots here. We moved when I was six to Orange County. I am happy to be back home.
Call for a tour of Trinidad. I’ll pick you up at the airport.
